Welcome to our Family House
Taking “home” as the starting point for practicing sustainable living. Our House opens its doors, inviting different kinds of family members to visit and chat about “houses” and “homes”.

About Us
This is a house built single-handedly by the father with the support of the whole family:
- 2022 Director/Su Yu-Ting documented the 20-year house construction in the film “Family Tree” which was nominated for Best Documentary at Busan Film Festival and received funding from the National Culture and Arts Foundation
- Master Yang: The main beam craftsman of A Book 32 House. He started building the house alone at age 50 in 2000 and completed the main structure in 18 years
- Mrs. Yang: The owner and supervisor of A Book 32 House. For 20 years of her husband’s construction, she continuously provided three meals a day despite the difficult construction site conditions
- Eldest daughter/Chi-Shu: The operational coordinator of A Book 32 House. Having watched her father build the house since childhood, her dreams have always revolved around the house
- Son-in-law/Yu-Chien: The construction coordinator of A Book 32 House. With his love for both his “wife” and the “house”, he went from being a side photographer documenting Master Yang to studying wood construction. Skilled in construction coordination and communication, he hopes to have the ability to take over the maintenance of this house in the future
- Youngest daughter/Ching-Wen & son-in-law/Ting-Chu: The cheerleading squad living far away. The only daughter who would act coy and drink with Master Yang
- In 2012, this construction project received funding from the Keep Walking Dream Fund’s 9th edition
- Since 2012, various reality documentary programs have successively interviewed them (TVBS/One Step at a Time, Public TV/Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, CTS News Magazine… etc.)

【⁺ Dining Together】
Mrs. Yang says that fish is a must for every meal. At Fangliao, one fish per person is the basic option. Depending on the seasonal staple food and the number of reservations, we match 5-8 dishes (or 1 dessert), or recommend several local specialties from Fangliao to be delivered to the house’s dining table for everyone to enjoy together.
- The house’s dining table is long-shaped, with the most comfortable seating for 4-8 people (maximum 8 people)
- This house is truly a living space for the A Book family. We only receive one group of visitors at a time, and the whole family will dine with you at the same table
